Good to hear from you.  I shall be most interested to hear what cooperation you get and the results.  Using the bitless bridle on a horse with complete one-sided paralysis of the larynx (laryngeal hemiplegia) may help it to breathe better but may not eliminate the 'roaring' completely.  On the other hand, if the 'roaring' was caused by elevation of the soft palate, I would expect the difficulty in breathing to be completely corrected.  Some results on this comparison would be valuable.

Ho letto,  grazie! Questo cavallo non "fischia" non fa praticamente nessun rumore quando respira,  eppure l'emiplagia è molto grave..
